Engineering Academy
The Engineering Society of Detroit’s has found success with their Girls in Engineering Academy and are now launching the Boys in Engineering Academy (BEA) program for boys entering sixth grade.
Harper Academy
The Harper Academy 4 Future Nuclear Engineers program is a four-week residential summer program that exposes rising 12th grade students to nuclear engineering careers and prepares them to successfully matriculate into a nuclear engineering program.
Engineering Pathways
Engineering Pathways is an opportunity for 6th grade and 9th grade students who participate in the year-round Wolverine Pathways program to explore engineering as a profession. Workshops are offered throughout the school year, and students can also participate in a multi-day summer program.
Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP)
The Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP) is an educational 501(c)3 organization providing high-quality and standards-aligned science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming to youth in metropolitan Detroit. We partner with DAPCEP on several spring/summer course offerings.
Galaxy Camp
Galaxy Summer Camp is a 5-day program for current 8th and 9th-grade Michigan students. During the program, participants will become immersed in fundamental disciplines of Aerospace Engineering and space science at the nation’s oldest aerospace program.
The Joy of Coding
The Joy of Coding is an online course specially created for anyone who wants to experience first-hand the power, and thrill, of coding computers to do amazing things. Created with high school students in mind, it is a great way for anyone to step into the wondrous world of coding. No prior coding experience is required!
Electrify Tech Camp
Electrify Tech Camp consists of three non-residential summer camps for high school students that are sponsored and run by Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Michigan. Camp participants will be introduced to college-level topics at an introductory level suitable for high school students.
Summer Engineering Exploration
The Summer Engineering Exploration (SEE) Camp is a one-week, residential camp for high school students interested in engineering. Hosted by the Society of Women Engineers at the University of Michigan, SEE Camp provides opportunities for the campers to discover the possibilities of engineering.
Girls in Science & Engineering
All Girls in Science & Engineering (GISE) programs include science- and engineering-focused hands-on learning, combined with exploring interesting places on campus. Every summer GISE brings over 150 middle and high school students to campus to participate in our summer programs.
